Our Autumn 2019 series was entitled “The Whole Story”.
The Bible is made up of 66 different books, all woven together to tell one big story about one big God. This story is one of love and passion. It’s one of failure and triumph. It’s one of rescue and redemption. Surely it’s the greatest story ever told.
And it all centres around one key character… Jesus Christ. He is the one through whom all things were made. He is the one who gives life and breath and everything else. He is the one who saves his people from sin and death. And he is the one in whom we find hope for something more than this broken world around us.
The amazing thing is, this story is not a fairytale. It’s not a fictional classic. It’s real, it’s true, and it impacts every single one of us. Whether we accept it or not, we are all a part of this great big story, as God continually reaches out to us and reminds us that he knows us and loves us.
So in 2019 we took 15 weeks to tell the overarching story of the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, we saw how God had a master plan and purpose for all of his creation, and we discovered that it all hinged on Jesus Christ.
