Prayer: Keep it honest, keep it simple, and keep it up. (Nicky Gumble)
Jesus constantly communicated with his heavenly Father by prayer and has both shown and opened up the way for us to do this too. God is a great communicator and teacher and longs to hear from his children. As our relationship with God deepens and knowledge of him increases, our prayers become more aligned to our Father’s will. Prayer changes things, including us. Just as we can’t do anything without Christ, we can’t do anything of eternal significance without prayer.
Prayer is therefore a vital part of our congregational life. As well as prayer on Sunday mornings during church services and prayer within our small groups, we also offer the following:
Congregational Gathering for Prayer
Sunday mornings (weekly) at 9.45am in the choir room
Wednesday evenings (fortnightly) at 7pm in the welcome area
Each Sunday morning, following our service, two members of our team will pray with those seeking prayer for themselves or for someone else. We would be delighted to pray for you or with you for something that is weighing you down at present.
We have a team of people who can be accessed at any time to pray confidentially for you. Please contact:
- Deirdre Bromley – 9042 7298
- Betty Hewitt – 9042 4454
- Roy Houston – 9042 2131
- Betty Morrow – 9048 3271
We also have a prayer box located in the foyer and prayer cards that are in the pews and in the leaflet stand. Please fill in your request on the card and post it in the box and our prayer team will pray for you.
