Updates and Ways to Stay in Touch

SUNDAY SERVICE

This past Sunday (31st May) our interactive, all-age service was streamed live on YouTube. We’ve reached week 7 of our ‘Partnership in the Gospel’ series, so we were looking at the importance of “Pursuing Holiness”.

You can watch the service by clicking here.

NEW SERMON SERIES & DOWNLOADABLE GUIDE

Our new sermon series entitled “Partnership in the Gospel” started this past Sunday. It’s based on a discipleship resource that we’ve been working on for a few months: a 12 week guide designed to take pairs or small groups through key areas of Christian life in order to deepen our understanding and develop lasting partnerships in the gospel.

The Resource can be downloaded from Dropbox by clicking here.

The idea is that over the next 12 Sundays our sermons will cover the 12 sessions in the guide, and then you will be able to work through the questions that accompany them. Ideally you would then get in touch with a partner or a group of partners to share and discuss your thoughts. Obviously the Coronavirus means we cannot get together physically, but that doesn’t stop us from contacting people through telephone or via video technology.

STAY CONNECTED ONLINE

Tune in during the week for various videos, which you can access on our website, or by clicking here.

CORONAVIRUS PRAYER POINTS

Pointers to inform our praying!

  1. Pray for the Prime Minister and the top level experts in their field who are having to come up with strategies, plans and contingencies to guide our nation through this crisis. Pray for wisdom, and guidance, that they may know what measures to take and when to introduce them.
  2. Pray that people across the UK will take heed of the restrictions and cooperate fully where possible. Pray that this would indeed slow down the spread of the virus so that not too many people get sick all at once, so the NHS can handle the situation without collapsing.
  3. Pray for yourself, your family and your friends… pray for communities, pray for nations. Pray Psalm 91 over your households. Ask the Lord to protect you. Ask the Lord to hide you under his wings, that you might find refuge there.
  4. Pray for strength and protection for the NHS staff who are running hospitals and delivering care to people who need it. Thank the Lord for the many retired people who have come back to work to help. Thank God for the private hospitals giving their buildings, staff and resources to the NHS for use.
  5. Pray for our town in Holywood as we respond to the crisis. Pray for plans to set up a coordinated response involving a dedicated website and telephone number where people can contact to find the help they require. Pray for agencies and churches who are responding by providing food and other services to people who need it.
